Barbara D. Culp

Barbara Culp is the oldest of six children born to Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Daughtry in Atlanta, Georgia.  She is a graduate of Morris Brown College and Atlanta University (before it became Clark Atlanta University).  Mrs. Culp has a doctorate degree in Administration and Supervision. Retired four years ago from Atlanta Public Schools after thirty-two years of devoted service, she spent the last seventeen years as an elementary school principal.

"I am inspired by everything, but mostly life’s issues, problems, and concerns. I am haunted the most by what I see happening in the world and to people, thus I write about these concerns in my poetry.  My vision is to create a selection of works that appeals to the adult reader worldwide."

The author has been married to the love of her life, Oscar Culp, for forty years.  They have two adult children and three grandchildren.
